I'm tanned from being out at the poolside all day
I had a really good day today, even if it was not really what I expected it to be. D. told me that he had today off of work. He still wanted me to come in for the morning so that he could run a few errands and go get a check up at the doctor. I thought - sure, no problem. I only anticipated being there until lunch time, and so I made plans with E for the afternoon. When D came home from running errands, I guess that he had other plans. He told us to grab our swimsuits and he would drop us off at the outdoor pool downtown while he finished stuff up. They're having a big canada day party tomorrow (BIG... like 100 people), and there was still lots to do I guess. ANyway, the kids and I swam in the pool, and then went inside to the hot tub... fed the ducks nearby etc. The problem was that D said he would be back to pick us up at 2:30, and didn't show up until 4. It was frusturating, because the kids were hungry and tired, and I didn't have any money to feed them, so I had to go and get cash out to buy them all chips... and...well, that was MY money! It kind of defeats the purpose of working, really. Anyway, I just got home. E is gone to Robs for the night, and I have tomorrow off of work, so I'm going to relax and enjoy the rest of the day. Tomorrow is going to be fantastic... there's live music downtown, and a HUGE arts and crafts show in Confederation Park. Em and I are going to the arts show, and then getting our faces painted, and then going to see all of the music, and we're bringing a big beach towel and some books to read while we're there. Then, fireworks at 10 pm, and home quickly because I have work to do! And then wednesday is only two weeks until my birthday!
SO all in all. A good day. Not what I expected, but it went quickly, and I'm tanned from being out at the poolside all day!
