The skunk problem here
I really have to remind myself that it’s time to go to bed. Time time time. If I’m asleep before 1:00 today, I’m going to be happy about that. It doesn’t give me the ideal amount of sleep (just under 7 hours) but it’s been a busy night, and I needed to stay up late to get everything (laundry, dishes, eyebrows) done. So now, most of it is done. I have a load in the dryer, and the house is tidy (but not clean….there’s a difference. One has to do with everything being picked up, and the other has to do with wiping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, etc. That’s my plan for Saturday). I went to shoppers today in the rain, and spent way too much money on things that weren’t frivolous. So instead of feeling guilty, I feel mad at how expensive things like garbage bags are. I would rather spend 65 dollars on a pair of jeans, and worry about feeling guilty. At least I’d have something to show for it.

The skunk problem here is getting to be unbearable. Last night when we set out our garbage, the skunks came and ripped into it therefore this morning, the garbage men wouldn’t take our bags away! Pricks. Then this evening, the skunks were hanging around in our front yard, and when Em came home from Robs house on her bike, one sprayed her! Luckily it was too far away to cause too much damage, but when I went to unlock the door for her, it STUNK. We had to run around closing all the windows in the house. Tomorrow we’re going to call Frostie about it - see if she can help us. We also need a dehumidifier because mould is growing on the walls in our basement. Bleh. They sell stuff that you can sprinkle in your bushes that has fox urine in it, which keeps skunks away. You can also put it around your garbage cans. That should do the trick. We’re going up to Canadian Tire tomorrow to take a look at it. And we’re definitely going to clean up that garbage tomorrow morning. Fuckers. They didn’t take our recycling either. And there’s nothing wrong with it.

I had a good day at work, that went quickly. We swam, went to McDonalds, went to see the muskrats … hung around most of the time. The mom got mad when she got home because the kids were watching TV, but I hardly cared. Whatever. It’s how I survive….put the TV on at 5pm when the day has been too long and everyone just needs to unwind. Anyway, tomorrow should be alright I guess. Hump day is over, and it’s all downhill from here for the first week. And then there’s just two more to go. I can’t wait. I see Marcus in 23 days from now…. A long time. Like I said before… looking forward. Past the next three weeks and past all the crap with the kids - to seeing M, starting school, and having everything back to normal.
